Usha Harish, Founder

Usha Harish, a distinguished wildlife photographer, safari planner, and naturalist, made a significant career transition from a Chartered Accountant to pursue her profound passion for wildlife. This transformative journey began after moving to Kenya over 15 years ago, a country that ignited her love for nature and wildlife and became the very reason for her new path.

Driven by a desire to help travelers plan authentic and immersive Kenya safari experiences, Usha founded Frame The Wild Moments. Organically, people trust Usha’s expertise as she meticulously crafts Kenyan safaris based on her own extensive experience, having personally explored virtually every wildlife destination across the country. Her particular passion lies with the Maasai Mara, where she not only meticulously plans safaris but also personally conducts photography tours, sharing her expertise and helping others capture breathtaking wildlife moments. Beyond Kenya, Usha is also widely travelled across Uganda and Tanzania, and expertly plans bespoke safari itineraries for these renowned destinations as well.

As the co-founder of Mara Siligi Camp in the Maasai Mara, Usha’s commitment extends to community empowerment and environmental sustainability. Through her compelling photography and dedicated safari guidance, she aims to forge a deeper connection between nature and humanity, promoting vital wildlife conservation efforts globally.

Caroline Muchekehu, Safari Curator

Meet Caroline Muchekehu. Known to her friends and family as Shiro, her deep love and respect for African wildlife and wild spaces has shaped how she spends her time and where she travels. She first met Usha while on a tiger safari six years ago, and what started as a chance encounter quickly turned into a friendship fueled by their shared love of adventure and wildlife photography.

Together, they’ve explored Kenya, from the expanses of Tsavo, witnessed elephant herds against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Amboseli and witnessed the magic of countless sunsets and sunrises in Masai Mara. They have also trekked through misty forests in search of gorillas and chimpanzees and glided across Lake Victoria to photograph the endangered Shoebill.

Nothing excites Shiro more than guiding others to discover natures wonders, from hearing lion roars beneath star studded skies to gazing upon herds of zebras and wildebeast during the great migration. Because of her extensive explorations and adventures, Shiro is able to create journeys which mirror the soulful nature of the landscapes they explore.
