Siligi means Hope. This 6-day immersion is designed for those who live for the light. Based at our intimate Mara Siligi Camp, we’ve removed the rush of standard tours to give you the patience required for world-class photography and the comfort a family deserves.

DAY 1 - Masai Mara

Day 1: Into the Wild | Nairobi to the Masai Mara Your journey begins with a 06:30 pick-up from your hotel or JKIA. Travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, arriving at Mara Siligi Camp in time for a warm welcome and lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive to capture the golden light of the savannah. Overnight: Mara Siligi Camp

DAY 2- Day 5 - Masai Mara

Days 2 – 5: The Great Migration & Predator Pursuit Every day is tailored to the movement of the wild. You have two ways to explore:

The Golden Hour Split: Start at 05:45 with pre-dawn coffee to catch the best morning light. Return to camp for a midday rest, image editing, or a photography workshop, then head out again at 16:00.
The Full Day Expedition: Venture deep into the reserve with a packed breakfast and lunch. This is the best way to track the “Big Five,” witness the dramatic wildebeest crossings, or wait for a predator on the hunt. Overnight: Mara Siligi Camp

DAY 6 - Departure

Day 6: Final Frames & Farewell Savor a final breakfast at camp before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in the mid-to-late afternoon, with a transfer directly to the airport for your homebound flight (ideally scheduled post 16:00).

Travel Tips Section

The Two-Body System: The Mara is incredibly dusty. To avoid exposing your sensor, carry two camera bodies: one with a long telephoto (e.g., 200–600mm) for tight wildlife portraits and one with a mid-range zoom (e.g., 24–70mm) for “animal-in-landscape” shots.

Stay for the “Action,” Not the “Portrait”: Don’t just take the shot and move on. With 3 nights, you have time to sit with a pride for an hour. Wait for the yawn, the cub interaction, or the moment a lioness stands up to scan for prey.

Every tent at Mara Siligi is equipped with solar-powered charging points. However, since the camp is eco-friendly, bring a high-capacity power bank as a backup for heavy processing days.

Nighttime Review: Mara Siligi provides a quiet lounge area with Wi-Fi. Use your evenings to back up your memory cards to two different SSDs and delete your “misses”—on a 6-day trip, you will likely take over 5,000 photos.
