Travel Tips Section
Make sure your flight departure is scheduled for late evening (8:00 PM or later). The drive from the Mara to Nairobi can take 5–6 hours depending on road conditions and traffic entering the city.
Trust your guide’s intuition. If they suggest staying out longer or changing the route, it’s usually because they’ve spotted a once-in-a-lifetime event unfolding nearby!
Why the “Full Day” is usually better during Migration:
The Crossing Gamble: The wildebeest are unpredictable. They can stand at the riverbank for hours; being “all-in” with a packed lunch means you don’t have to leave just as the action starts.
